HERE ARE SOME MORE - when she is a tad bit older maybe (7 months):
http://www.recipezaar.com/recipes.php?q[鈥?/a>What are some good fruit recipes for a baby?
Try mixing the fruit with something she likes, like chicken and apples or peaches with oatmeal. She may just have to get used to the flavor.
I bought the jarred baby food and sometimes I made my own, very easy.
Try www.wholesomebabyfood.com, they have great recipes and tips how to make your own purees..very easy.
She'lll pick up on healthy eating habits if she sees you and your husband getting healthy.
Get one of those fruit mesh things.
You can buy them at wal-mart. You just pop some fruit into the little ';baggie'; and don't have to worry about your baby choking. Baby also gets to enjoy different textures and firmnress of different fruits.
You can also steam veggies and do them this way as well.
First off, making your own fruit mush is easy. A blender and some 100% fruit juice (not from concentrate.) and you can make any consistency or flavor you want. Remember to remove seeds, or stay away from seeded veggies and fruits.
As for eating habits, she gets those by watching her parents eat and copying their habits, not from what she individually eats. Time to get dad on the health kick!
If apples and mangos are her favorites, blend other fruits into that mixture to tease her taste buds. Mashing ripe fruits is probably the best way to incorporate fruits into her diet. and then add them to the jar kind she likes. Funny how picky kids can be at any age!
just a taste of some different things should help her.
my nephew at that age wanted fruit cocktail. not the mashed ones, the whole ones. messy, but what the heck. As long as they eat it who cares.
she is getting to the stage where she would like the ';lumps'; in the jr foods.
Apple - for a cute reddish healthy face. Orange - Vitamin C. Sorry I'm not good with this stuff much, but those are the two fruits that are really healthy for your child. Good luck raising her and I hope she becomes a great person when she grows up :). Take care of her!
Apple sauce with cinnamon sprinkled on top.
Bananas chopped into bite size pieces ... or any fruit, really.
Melons frozen and scooped into tiny bite size pieces.
Apples cut into little sticks she can suck on.
Just a few ideas :)
My daughter teethed on carrot and celery sticks :)
My mother always told me that I really enjoyed mashed up apple in milk as a baby! I have also used this site in the past and it got me results:

Any organic fruit or vegetable is fine as long as you puree it and don't add sugar or salt.

Plain or Vanilla Yogurt OR
Water, Apple or Pear Juice

You may use mango as a great Baby Finger Foods! Simply peel, de-seed and then cut into dices or chunks that are manageable for your baby! You may wish to coat the mango pieces with ';cheerio dust';, wheat germ or another cereal ';dust'; to help baby easily pick up the bits!
Peel a banana. Mash it up. Give it to her.
